With so many books and classes to choose from, students often find themselves at sea when it comes to preparing for these exams. With an aim to help students prepare for engineering exams, Times NIE in association with IIT- JEE conducted ‘The Arc Engineering Talent Hunt’ (AETH), a customised aptitude test that helps evaluate students’ analytical and logical abilities.
The test which was conducted at Dadar, Malad, Thane and Nerul, saw a participation of over 5,500 students from 400 schools across Mumbai. Arc Mumbai, the entrance exam preparatory division of Career Launcher, that conducted the AETH, organised an interactive session for the students and parents where experts addressed students’ doubts regarding engineering entrance exams and gave them vital tips to prepare for the same.
“The event was very helpful to the students. The test gave them an idea of their strengths and weaknesses and will help them in further preparations,” said Neelesh Gupta, whose daughter appeared for the test.
The results for the test were announced two weeks later. The city topper was Charmi Dedhia from Children’s Academy, Kandivali. First runner up was Aditya Kale from DAV Public School, Thane and second runner up was Anirban Mukhopadhay from Ryan International School, Kharghar.
“We at Career Launcher lookout for talented students who wish to take up engineering as a career option. This was our attempt to find those students and help them,” concluded Vivek Sinha, chief manager of Career Launcher.
